Macropolitics
Accreditation This is developed in three phases: Previous Accreditation, Quality and Institutional Accreditation. This process began in the year 2000 and has given great satisfaction ever since its initial stage. Previous Accreditation – we reached the second place on a national level with 31 programs approved surpassed only by the University of Antioquia.
In 2001 with the support of the Antioquian institution, the chronogram was placed following the framework of Quality Accreditation now being developed and by March 2003 these programs were presented for evaluation before the National Council of Accreditation.
The third phase could only be fulfilled once, at least, one program was approved through Quality Accreditation; therefore, since then, hard work has been done to fulfill the requirements demanded by it.
Doctorate Plan One of the indicators of management established by the National Government makes reference to the level of academic preparation of university educators, evaluating those institutions particularly through those that have Ph.D’s and Magisters’ within the educative body.
In the face of this proposal, the Head Dean’s Office began a process of capacitation on these levels signing agreements with Universities abroad and through which the Doctoral formation has produced 25 professors with the projection of 120 in three years.
The support of the superior educative institutions in Spain has been decisive to obtain this goal and so that the macro-politics can be carried out satisfactorily.
Campus – Intelligence Hoping to give the best service to the personnel at our institution (which has been growing out-of-hand) with the latest advances in the technological field, the institutional automatization as a macro-policy has been established for the campus buildings at the university guaranteeing comfort and security and at the same time the efficient and rational use of the energetic users.
For the fulfillment of this development an informational platform with its exceptional intelligence in value to permit through a short time to achieve high leadership in the country and enter competitively into the business sector in the field of systems of integral control.
The strategic alliances begun with leading businesses with automatization have as their objective to convert our University in one of the first Intelligent Campuses in Colombia and in Latin America. The project also offers the possibility to convert us into a great virtual laboratory to finally permit us to form specialities that are more complete at these Intelligent Buildings and those linked-up; thus, converting us into pioneers in undergraduate, post-graduate formation, reference and consultancy for these disciplines on a world-wide scale.
Platform – Century XXI This has as its objective to develop a virtual community to permit this entity to surpass frontiers of space and time integrating all this management and the university life based on New Informative Technology (NTI), and so the University of Pamplona put it Macro-polictics into effect with Platform, Century XXI.
This project systemizes laboral relations along with those in the areas of academics-administrative, document management, information agendas, communication, financial processes and other aspects at the institution giving the greatest integration and agility.
The implementation at Platform – Century XXI has converted our House of Studies into a leader in Colombia in:
- Virtual Education
- Virtual Community of Knowledge
- On-line Services
- Quality Assurance
- The project of Quality Assurance has been placed into effect at our institution with its objective of caring for the developmental processes which go about that service to the client and are fulfilled; thus, a continuity of guarantees to the educator and to the student can count on a program with constant improvement.
It is important that this process of Quality Assurance permits the evaluation of actions done in educative areas. This is the necessity of considering it follow-up even after the self-evaluation and accreditation towards its conversion, in the first instance, in planning committees and at the finally, in those committees of quality assurance of the academic programs so as to be placed as competent monitoring, follow-up, control and self-evaluation of the plans for consolidation. |
