2 Please take formal suits and national dress for the purpose of attending formal activities, prepare casual shoes for the convenience of visits and traveling.

4 For some hotels, they don’t provide computers. Please take your own laptops if needed.
5 In principle, any alteration to air tickets is not allowed. If there is a need, please contact the Chinese embassy and reissue the air tickets according to the related regulations and procedures. If you can not depart on time for some special reasons, or if the flight is delayed in transit, please contact the Chinese Embassy or the organizer on time to inform the latest flight time for us to arrange the pickup.
6 In transit, please confirm whether or not luggage check is needed again. The organizer will meet you with your name and country written in the sign at the INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL EXIT (or DOMESTIC ARRIVAL EXIT) of the airport upon your arrival. Please claim your luggage and wait for the pickup. If you wait more than 15 minutes, please call the organizer immediately.

About the Organizer

Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College (SFTC) is a state institute under the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, an institution of higher education, specializing in international business education and offering three-year full-time programs, and so far the only institution of its kind in Shandong Province. SFTC is the only hosting and organizing comprehensive institution for ChinaAID. Since 2012, SFTC, has organized 38 ChinaAID training programs. The training activities cover the fields of economics and trade, agriculture, information and management, etc. More than 1035 personnel from 79 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Oceania have participated in the seminars and trainings.
Founded in 1964, SFTC boasts of longest history of international business vocational education in Shandong Province. Over the past 50 years, 60,000 graduates completed their education here and they have founded over 3,000 enterprises, including SITC International Holdings Company Limited, the No.2 container liner shipping company in China, whose leader has been listed as the Top Wealth in Qingdao by Forbes for several consecutive years, and Hiking Group, whose exporting volume ranks first in Shandong for years running. The graduates and alumni are making significant contribution to regional economic and social development in Shandong Province. Currently, there are 11,000 students and 590 teachers, 200 of them with high professional titles. There are 120 teachers engaged in foreign languages teaching: English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Russian and Spanish. Eight teachers have been trained in European Union successively and got simultaneous interpreters qualification. SFTC has established over 24 majors like international trade practice and logistics management, etc. The college possesses Tai’an Training Base with 60,000 ㎡ construction area, Training Base in Qingdao West Coast Area with 16,000 ㎡ construction area, 7 research centers like Macro Economy Research Center, and 10 affiliated enterprises like Jin Fulin importing and Exporting Company.
SFTC chairs Shandong International Business Vocational Education Group (SIBEG) with membership of over 70 colleges and institutions, and is honored as Shandong Cross-border E-commerce Industry and Education Alliance chairman unit with 1000 up members. SFTC also chairs the alliance of vocational colleges and schools in Qingdao concerning majors of international trade, software service outsourcing, accounting, animation technology and aviation service. Besides, the College co-established SFTC-Qingdao Post E-Commerce College with Qingdao Branch of China Post. Attributed to close ties with colleges, research institutions, industry associations and enterprises, the college is possessed with sound education resources and social resources. SFTC comes into cooperative agreements with counterpart colleges and universities from over 10 countries, like the USA, Britain, Japan, Korea, and Singapore for exchange programs of students and teachers.
SFTC is located in Qingdao, the leading economically developed city in Shandong Province, and among the Top12 cities with comprehensive power in China. Qingdao is also one of the 5 specially designated cites in country-planning, a world-famous port city, an important economic and cultural center in east-coast of China and an internationally famous seaside resort.

Seminar Content

Investment promotion is a significant form and means for developing countries to attract foreign investment and promote their economy. It can solve the bottleneck of insufficient fund, bring in advanced technology and equipment, enhance national production force, products quality as well as management ability.
This seminar is mainly oriented towards the government officials responsible for industrial planning and investment attraction in developing countries, and the staff responsible for the planning and investment attraction in the development zone and industrial parks. The course mainly includes the following contents: the analysis of current international macro-economic status and its influence to the transfer of international industry; the commercial investment attraction and project financing; the analysis of coastal urban development; the management of park construction and the strategy of commercial investment attraction; the packaging and planning of commercial investment project; the combination of harbor planning and the planning of development area; the investment promotion on the industrial chain; WTO & China’s investment promotion policies; “Belt and Road” initiative; introduction to China’s investment promotion laws and regulations; the factors to be considered in Chinese enterprises’ investment to developing countries etc.
Besides theoretical study, this seminar will arrange visits to Linyi of Shandong, and Qingdao. Taking Linyi Comprehensive Free Trade Zone and Qingdao Qianwan Free Trade Port Zone for example, participants will hear on-site explanation of investment promotion policies, projects promotion experience etc. The seminar will also arrange visit to Suzhou and Shanghai to exchange ideas and share experience.
