ELECTRIC MOTORS TRANSIENT PROCESSES

PROCESOS TRANSITORIOS EN MOTORES ELÉCTRICOS

Abstract: This paper deals with the modeling and simulation the most common transient processes that happen in the electric motors. The mathematical models of the motors used in the simulation are shown. The develop programs serve as complement for the teaching of the topic transient processes of electric motors. Several transitory processes were simulated as the starting process, according to the motor type, dynamic and electric braking, different kind of short circuit, abrupt changes of load, etc. The results of this work can also be used for the design and analysis of the operation of different electric drives and the electric machines.

Resumen: En este trabajo se modelan y simulan los procesos transitorios más frecuentes que ocurren en los motores eléctricos. Se muestran los modelos matemáticos de los motores utilizados en la simulación. Los programas sirven de complemento para la enseñanza del tema procesos transitorios de motores eléctricos. Se simularon varios procesos transitorios como el de arranque según el tipo de motor, de frenado dinámico y contracorriente, el de cortocircuito, el de cambio brusco de carga, etc. Los resultados de este trabajo pueden emplearse además para el diseño y análisis de la operación de los sistemas de accionamientos eléctricos y las máquinas eléctricas.
