CRITICAL PARAMETERS CALCULATION FOR PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE BY OIL ANALYSIS

Abstract: Present work shows a method designed to establish symptom reference parameters and critical, alert and alarm, values used for fault diagnose in predictive maintenance by oil analysis. As an application, the process used to obtain metallic content critical values from industrial diesel engine used samples is shown. Finally, obtained results applying the method are shown and discussed. The results may be used to evaluate used oil samples with diagnose or engine condition monitoring aims.

Resumen: En el presente artículo se expone un método concebido para establecer los valores de los parámetros de referencia y de los límites críticos, de alerta y de alarma, de los síntomas empleados para el diagnostico de fallas en mantenimiento predictivo mediante análisis de aceite. Como aplicación, se muestra el proceso utilizado para obtener los valores críticos de las concentraciones metálicas presentes en muestras de aceite usado, pertenecientes a motores diesel industriales. Para finalizar se muestran y discuten los resultados obtenidos aplicando el método, los cuales se pueden emplear para la evaluación de muestras de aceite usado con fines de diagnóstico o para el seguimiento del estado del motor.
