FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER DESIGN FOR A HEATING SYSTEM

Abstract: The need of autonomous systems in process control has become the starting point for creating fuzzy models that allow the decisions taking procedure starting from norms that arise from the different processes to control. For this project the reliability lack of nowadays manual systems and the need of constant supervision, becomes the main motivation for developing this kind of systems. In the virtue that the temperature control becomes a control problem of non lineal behaviour, it is justified the use of artificial intelligence techniques for modelling and control of heating system.

Resumen: La necesidad de sistemas autónomos en el control de procesos se ha convertido en el punto de partida para crear modelos difusos, que permitan la toma de decisiones a partir de normas que surgen de los diferentes procesos a controlar. Para este
proyecto la falta de confiabilidad de sistemas manuales existentes y la necesidad de constante supervisión se convierte en la motivación de desarrollar este tipo de sistemas. En virtud de que el control de temperatura constituye un problema de control de carácter no lineal, se justifica el uso de estas técnicas de inteligencia artificial para el modelado y control del sistema de calefacción.
