Abstract: The use of the business model during the early stages of developing an application, helps to ensure a proper understanding of the problem and its domain, which facilitates the identification, analysis and specification of the requirements of the solution. An essential aspect in the modeling business is the concept of objects that make up part or the application domain. In this article, a method based on ontologies to conceptualize the problem space. This method is applied in the context of the business model to identify the concepts that characterize the domain of an application and establish the relationships between them. The importance of the method is to facilitate the identification of elements of the business objectives, processes, rules, actors, objects and events. Similarly, the model helps to improve communication among the players to unify the language used by users of the application.
