METHODOLOGIES AND TECHNOLOGIES OF FAULT DETECTION AND DIAGNOSIS APPLIED TO INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES

Abstract: The design of detection systems and fault diagnosis applied to industry, it requires prior knowledge of the levels of risk and criticality of each of its plants and equipment, as well as the dynamic characteristics of processes, number of input and output signals for each critical variable in order to determine which method or technique is more appropriate to apply. This paper presents theory, algorithms, applications and infrastructure deployment of some technologies and methodologies used for fault detection and diagnosis in industrial processes.

Resumen: En el diseño de los sistemas de detección y diagnóstico de fallas aplicados a la industria, se requiere del conocimiento previo de los niveles de riesgo y criticidad de cada uno de sus plantas y equipos, así como también de las características dinámicas de los procesos, número de señales de entrada y salida por cada variable critica, con el fin de determinar que método o técnica es más apropiada aplicar. En este artículo se presentan fundamentos teóricos, algoritmos, aplicaciones e infraestructura de implantación de algunas metodologías y tecnologías más utilizadas para detección y diagnóstico de fallas en procesos industriales.
