QUANTIFICATION OF CARDIAC FUNCTION FROM ANGIOGRAPHIC IMAGES

CUANTIFICACIÓN DE LA FUNCIÓN CARDIACA A PARTIR DE IMAGENES ANGIOGRAFICAS

Abstract: The present work focuses on designing a software platform that allows estimation of parameters related to left ventricular function and coronary arteries. The tool developed and estimated descriptors such as End Diastolic Volume, End Systolic Volume, stroke volume, ejection fraction, ventricular dynamics and quantitative analysis of coronary arteries. For purposes of validation has been done a comparison of our results compared to those achieved by the cardiologist. These results are promising; however, a more complete validation is necessary.

Resumen: El presente trabajo se focaliza en el diseño de una plataforma de software que permite la estimación de parámetros relacionados con la función ventricular izquierda y las arterias coronarias. La herramienta desarrollada estima descriptores como el Volumen Diastólico Final, el Volumen Sistólico Final, el Volumen Latido, la Fracción de Eyección, la dinámica ventricular y el análisis cuantitativo de arterias coronarias. Para efectos de validación se ha realizado una comparación de nuestros resultados respecto a los obtenidos por el cardiólogo. Tales resultados son prometedores, sin embargo, una validación más completa es necesaria.
