AN EVALUATION OF MOODLE PLATFORM IN A TRAINING COURSE IN THE HEALTHCARE DOMAIN

EVALUACIÓN DE LA PLATAFORMA MOODLE EN LA ENSEÑANZA DE UN CURSO EN EL DOMINIO MEDICO

Abstract: This paper describes the evaluation of the Moodle platform in a training course in healthcare, aiming at determining the level of content’s adaptation according to the student’s profile. Therefore, the knowledge level acquired by students during the course, and also the course structure were evaluated. The results show that the Moodle platform allows to effectively and clearly defining the course objectives and evaluation activities. However, the main limitations found are the quality, content’s organization and the adaptability according to the student profile.

Resumen: Este artículo describe la evaluación de la plataforma Moodle en la enseñanza de un curso de capacitación en salud, con el objetivo de determinar el nivel de adaptación de los contenidos según el perfil de cada estudiante. Por tanto, se evalúa el nivel de conocimiento adquirido por los estudiantes durante el desarrollo del curso y la estructura del mismo. Los resultados muestran que la plataforma permite definir de manera clara los objetivos del curso y las actividades de evaluación. Sin embargo, las principales limitaciones están relacionadas con la organización de los contenidos y la adaptación según el perfil del estudiante.
