IDENTIFICATION AND FUZZY CONTROL OF A TWO TANK SYSTEM

IDENTIFICACIÓN Y CONTROL DIFUSO DE UN SISTEMA DE NIVEL DE LÍQUIDOS EN DOS TANQUES

Abstract: This work presents the implementation of a new methodology for identification and control using fuzzy systems with triangular membership functions with 0.5 overlap in the antecedent and consequent singleton type. Average operators are used instead of Tnorm operators for rule evaluation. To check the performance of the proposed method has
been developed an experiment identifying and controlling liquid level in parallel tanks, as addressed by other researchers who try to emulate these systems in chemical processes and also in handling problems variations in the plant and disturbances. To prove the asymptotic stability of the fuzzy controller was used fuzzy Lyapunov synthesis, which is
the version of the classical method of Lyapunov in the so-called computing with words.

Resumen: Se presenta la aplicación de una novedosa metodología para identificación y control empleando sistemas difusos con funciones de pertenencias triangulares con solapamiento de 0.5 en el antecedente y consecuentes tipo singleton en los consecuentes. Se emplean operadores de promedio en vez de operadores tipo T-normas para la evaluación de las reglas. Para comprobar el desempeño del método propuesto se ha desarrollado un experimento de identificación y control de nivel de líquidos en tanques paralelos, ya abordado por otros investigadores con el cual se trata de emular sistemas presentes en los procesos químicos y que, además, permite enfrentar problemas de variaciones en la planta y perturbaciones. Para demostrar la estabilidad asintótica del controlador difuso se empleó la síntesis difusa de Lyapunov, la cual es la versión del método clásico de Lyapunov en la denominada computación con palabras.
