LAND USE DISCRIMINATION FROM MULTISPECTRAL IMAGES

DISCRIMINACIÓN DE USOS DEL SUELO A PARTIR DE IMÁGENES MULTIESPECTRALES

Abstract: Satellite systems allow continuous monitoring about environmental issues, the advanced image processing techniques can extract features based on multispectral analysis of the different components present in satellite images. This paper describe results about different techniques used for obtain soil characteristics features which is important for rural and urban planning.

Resumen: Mediante los sistemas satelitales ubicados en orbita alrededor del planeta es posible realizar el seguimiento de gran cantidad de sucesos ocurridos en la superficie de este. Haciendo uso de técnicas de procesamiento de imágenes multiespectrales combinadas con técnicas de análisis estadístico es posible realizar la clasificación de parámetros del suelo de acuerdo a características propias del mismo. En el presente artículo se presenta la metodología relacionada con dicha clasificación del suelo utilizando redes neuronales artificiales multicapas como mecanismo clasificador.
