DATA ACQUISITION, ANALYSIS AND PROCESSING TOOL FOR MULTISENSORY SYSTEM AND MASS SPECTROMETRY

HERRAMIENTA DE ADQUISICIÓN, ANÁLISIS Y PROCESAMIENTO DE DATOS PARA SISTEMAS MULTISENSORIALES Y ESPECTROMETRÍA DE MASAS

Abstract: This article describes an application developed in Matlab for data acquisition, signal processing and sensing metal oxide gases (ie., an electronic nose) and mass spectrometry (MS). Tool was developed using different pattern recognition techniques, both traditional and advanced statistical methods such as PCA, LDA and PLS. Other techniques known as artificial neural networks were applied to the classification of measures, for example, MLP, Fuzzy ARTMAP and RBF. The final result was the implementation of the tool from the previously acquired signals through an electronic nose and data obtained from a mass spectrometer.

Resumen: Este artículo describe una aplicación desarrollada en Matlab, para la adquisición de datos, y procesamiento de señales de sensores de gases de óxidos metálicos (es decir, una Nariz Electrónica) y de espectrometría de masas (MS). La herramienta fue desarrollada a partir de diferentes técnicas de reconocimiento de patrones, tanto tradicionales como avanzadas, tales como métodos estadísticos PCA, LDA y PLS. Otras técnicas conocidas, como las redes neuronales artificiales fueron aplicadas para la clasificación de medidas, por ejemplo: MLP, Fuzzy ARTMAP y RBF. El resultado final fue la implementación de la herramienta a partir de las señales adquiridas previamente a través de una nariz electrónica, y los datos obtenidos de un espectrómetro de masas.
