COMPARISON OF DIFFERENT CONTROL TECHNIQUES APPLIED TO REAL TIME TEMPERATURE CONTROL

COMPARACIÓN DE DIFERENTES TÉCNICAS DE CONTROL APLICADAS AL CONTROL DE TEMPERATURA EN TIEMPO REAL

Abstract: This paper presents a comparative study of the temperature control, with different control strategies implemented; including a model based predictive controller (MPC) and classical PID controllers with and without antiwindup action and the basic on off control. The results of the control and monitor the temperature variable in real time were shown, with the use of the various controllers through a data acquisition system using a computer with Matlab's Real-Time Windows Target Toolbox.

Resumen: En este artículo se realiza un estudio comparativo del control de temperatura, con diferentes estrategias de control implementadas que incluyen un controlador predictivo basado en el modelo (MPC) y los controladores PID clásico con y sin acción antiwindup al igual que el básico control on-off. Se presentan los resultados de controlar y monitorear en tiempo real la variable temperatura, con el uso de los diferentes controladores a través de un sistema de adquisición de datos empleando una computadora y la herramienta Real -Time Windows Target del Matlab.
