STATE OF THE ART MECHANISM FOR NANOTECHNOLOGICAL GAS SENSORS

ESTADO DEL ARTE DE SENSORES DE GAS NANOTECNOLOGICOS
PhD. Rafael Vargas-Bernal.
PhD. Oscar Eduardo Gualdrón Guerrero.

Abstract: The state-of-the-art gas sensors based on nanotechnology, at its present-day point and its future view from a perspective of electronic engineering and material engineering is presented. In spite of the achieved advances upto the moment, numerous aspects arise that must be optimized for an excellent performance within the applications of the gas sensors. In this article, these aspects are illustrated taking as the initial point of reference those gas sensors based on micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and ending with those uniquely based on nanostructures or a set of both types of technology.
