Abstract: In this work, the design of a half-empirical model proposes one semi based on the measures of intensity of power signals for the location of the access points or transmitter with respect to the receiver or client; this then, quantifies the possible errors of
prediction based on the obtained calculations and the measured data, by means of the use of techniques of the regression of models for estimation and applied statistical methods in three types of atmospheres: urban, semi urban and rural.

Keywords: Empirical model, access points, regression techniques, environments.
