Artículo CompletoAbstract:
An optical device for three-dimensional reconstruction of objects with cylindrical symmetry was developed, using laser triangulation method; with an application in Interior Ballistic. In the laser triangulation method a laser line is projected on surface of the studied object and starting of above-mentioned line is possible to encode the topographical variations presents in the surface of the object to reconstruct. Device is formed by the following modules: Projection system, it is utilized to project a laser line on the surface of the object. An acquisition system, that consist of a CCD camera, a frame grabber (Matrox Meteor II) which digitize the images and a computer which are registered the images acquired and three-dimensional reconstruction of the studied object is obtained. Device was evaluated using objects of know sizes. Quantitative analysis to grooves on the surface of bullets shot out with firearms are showed and discussed. Furthermore three-dimensional reconstruction of the mark caused by the firing pin on the cartridge case surface is showed.
